Demographics at a Glance
The Valley's mild year-round climate makes for outdoor living 365 days a year. The City of McAllen MSA (metropolitan statistical area) is out pacing the rest of the nation in population and job growth. The facts that the area has a very young and trainable labor force, as well as the abundance of opportunities that the city's growth offers, constitute the reasons why McAllen has become the primary site for companies to set up operation on the United States/Mexico border. The area is enriched by the contributions of many cultures and offers a range of Intercultural entertainment. It has a strong balance of schools, universities, hospitals, public protection, entertainment, and family value.

.

The Community
In McAllen, management and technical support live with their families, attend top schools, and are a part of a familiar community while working a few minutes away in Reynosa. The modern housing and infrastructure and government incentives result in a cost infrastructure equal to or better than that available in our supply chain competitive Asian countries. A good example is the Sharyland Plantation which houses thousands of residences in what is called a City within a City. It consists of a 6,000 acre master-planned community, residential, commercial and Industrial Properties governed by protective covenants.

Master-planned Mixed-use Community
The Hunt Valley Development was formed with the primary focus of developing a 6,000 acre master-planned mixed-use community. The first to be developed in South Texas, the entire community is governed by a comprehensive set of protective covenants. Sharyland Plantation is a beautiful, palm tree-lined, tropically landscaped community combining the best of homes, recreation and conveniences. Sharyland Plantation offers homes starting under $130,000, with designs ranging from 1,650 to 5,000 square feet (153 to 465 square meters). This Sharyland Community at the Sharyland Plantation has a sports park, retail centers, and community activities for their residents.

McAllen and Reynosa offer the ideal combination of must-have environmental elements like natural resources and proximity to a community with a thriving economy. Federal support was the remaining factor to attract our capital intensive industry to the region. McAllen, Texas local access to abundant water and electricity has made it an Attainment Area.
